About Brian Dobbs
Brian Dobbs began his bodywork at the Rolf Institute in Boulder Colorado where he became certified in 1985. His experiences with gifted teachers instilled an awe of the human body which stimulated his study to make healing physical injuries his life’s work.
Over a 20 year period, Brian has studied a variety of methods.
In 1992, he studied for three years with Lauren Berry in a method called Berry Work, completing all their course work for certification. Berry Work’s mechanical, structural orientated training and gave Brian a foundation for working with the skeletal structure.
In 1996, he studied Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT), an institute founded by Sharon Giammatteo. Sharon has a multi-systems approach using strain- counterstrain as a healing modality. For 4 years he studied IMT, completing over 30 classes. This gave Brian a deep understanding of how the systems of the body work together and provided solid training in anatomy and physiology.

Brian has also studied extensively Visceral Manipulation, Cranial Sacral Therapy, and Mechanical Link through the Upledger Institute.
From the years 2001 to 2009, after a serious injury which existing therapies could not help, Brian embarked on a quest to help himself by developing a new type of bodywork. This eight year journey resulted in healing and the creation of Bone Whispering and Vascular Bone Therapy which brought together all of his previous training in a totally new approach to trauma recovery.
He now has a private practice in the North End of Seattle. He also offers classes in Vascular Bone Therapy.

Brian Dobbs is a lover of nature and enjoys kayaking, back country skiing, and hiking.. On all of these endeavors he is joined by his border collie Skye who more or less happily volunteers. When the weather is good his wife of 15 years Robin joins in.
